This artistically Tuscan style home features iron accents, a rich color palate and custom design details that make it uniquely beautiful. Elegant crystal accents bring a sense of refinement while the lush views and olive trees take you away to a Tuscan countryside. From the custom game room to the inviting living room the old world design details combined with modern day function create a truly relaxing escape from the stresses of everyday life.

While we were updating other areas of this home, our client decided that she wanted to also update her living room. This is the first room people see when they come into her home and she wanted it to make a statement but also be warm and inviting. Just before entering the living room was an entry rotunda. We added a round entry table with scrolled iron accents to introduce the Tuscan feel with an elegant light fixture above. Going into the living room, we warmed up the color scheme and added pops of color with a rich purple. Next we brought in some new furniture pieces and even added more chairs for seating. Adding a new custom fireplace mantel to carry in the woodwork from other areas in the house made the fireplace more of a statement piece in the room, and keeping with the style she loved we made some slight changes on the draperies and brought them up to open the windows and give the room more height. Accessories and wall décor helped to polish off the look and our client was so happy with the end result.

Walking from the entry down the hallway was the formal dining room. Our client wanted to update not only their dining room but also their furniture. To add richness and color we upholstered the wooden backs of the chairs in a medallion pattern and the host chairs were done in a rich, patterned velvet. Elegant draperies framed the corner windows and the beautiful view. While updating the area rug and chandelier added new freshness and elegance. A large server was introduced to complement the existing pieces and add additional storage for dishes and trays. Above this piece we put a large ornate mirror to reflect the beautiful chandelier and drapery treatments. Across from the dining room is a pair of French doors with leaded glass details just off the front door. Framing these doors were beautiful drapery treatments to compliment the dining room and a large hall table with decorative mirror. Crystal ceiling mount lighting created an elegant ambiance leading you into the family room and kitchen.

Going into the family room guests are welcomed with a beautiful custom built in unit. We updated this with new accessories and added wood panels to the front of the hearth to tie it in with the beautiful carvings. Next we added and rearranged the accessories in the shelves and a nice family portrait became a lovely focal point. We also added new pops of color in the pillows and drapery treatments as well as some wall art to complete the space. Along with the family room is the large custom kitchen. Adding two beautiful scrolled iron chandeliers over the island added elegance and tied in the iron detail found in the drapery treatments from the family room and nook area.

After addressing the main areas of the home our client decided that with three teenage boys, they needed a space where they could hang out and have fun with their friends. Putting in a room over the garage was the perfect plan. Creating this entertainment space was fun! Adding masculine lines in the stone and wood finishes and delicate touches in the accessories and accent pieces helped it to flow with the rest of the home but still be its own space. Functional fabric choices made this a cozy place to hang out while not having to worry about too much upkeep.

With the completion of the entire home our client was thrilled with the final result. They had a home that was comfortable, simply elegant and inviting. It was a place that worked for their entertaining lifestyle and large family gatherings. The attention to detail made all the difference in this design and it is surely something that people will notice and talk about.
