This client purchased a newly built home and knew that they would need help finishing it in a way that would do justice to its architecture and style.  With nearly an entire house to furnish, they wanted to get started right away.  Calling an interior designer was a decision they knew would be the best for them.  Not only would they be able to get everything done the right way, but they could trust that attention to detail would be of the utmost importance.

With a lifestyle that included entertaining, these clients knew that the living room and dining room areas were important to make a grand statement.  They wanted something elegant but still inviting.  The living room is the first thing you see upon entering the home, so careful attention was paid to the fabrics and furniture design.  Warm hues and textures were selected, with deep rich wood tones.  The Tuscan style of the home inspired the fabric selections and patterns.  Elegant swags and cascades were used on the drapery treatments with working silk panels to frame the windows and use for light control and privacy.  A large custom area rug was made to soften the travertine floors and anchor the sitting area.  Accessories also played a large part in completing this space.  All of the items were carefully selected to showcase the color scheme and design style of the home.

Walking down the entry hall just past the living room is the formal dining room area.  The clients wanted a sophisticated look with ambiance.  Custom upholstered side chairs were made to give the room a regal look but also to be moved around the house and used as needed for extra seating during parties.  The host chairs had carved accents and a rich deep finish to coordinate with the large dining table.  A warm color palate was selected to carry throughout the home and textures added a lot of interest to this space.  An intricately carved area rug was custom made to sit beneath the table and bring in the sage green color as well as the flowing patterns used in the fabrics.  The chandelier was scrolled iron with crystal accents and a delicate gold leaf finish.  Across the hall was a set of French doors leading to a courtyard in the center of the home.  We added panels to match the ones we did in the dining room, playing off of the design from the living room.  A custom centerpiece was made for the table and art and accessories were selected carefully to finish the space.

After completing both of these spaces the client knew they could trust us to complete their entire home.  Their home was everything they had hoped it would be and when it came time for them to move they called us in to help with the next one as well.  Their first house sold quickly and furnished as the home buyers loved its finished look.
