This client wanted a new feel to their home.  With a larger scaled project and two opinions they knew they would need some help to blend their styles into a look they would both appreciate.  They were looking to redesign the majority of their downstairs as well their master bedroom.  After meeting with the clients to finalize their vision and their preferences, we quickly got to work!

The family room needed to be comfortable yet seat a decent amount of people for parties and family gatherings.  Chairs were used in groupings that made the odd shaped room feel more intimate and ready for conversation.  It also helped to make the room more versatile, being able to move the furniture around easily as desired for different types of events.  The furnishings were covered in multiple types of coordinating fabrics to add interest and texture to the space.  Pillows were added for softness and style with patterns and trims to coordinate with the other pieces.  Simple yet elegant drapery panels were added to the windows for privacy and light control and helped to frame the view of their beautiful yard.  To accent the unique shape of the room we added a distinctive architectural feature, wood paneling.  We added moulding and stained the wood in a deep rich wood tone to coordinate with the hard case furnishings in the space and wood accents on some of the furniture.  It helped to create balance and beauty.

The living room had high ceilings and a wall of French doors for the natural light to pour into the space.  To highlight these architectural details we used a lighter color palate combined with elegant patterns and geometrics.  Custom iron rods and rosettes held up beautifully draped silk panels to frame the shape of the doors and add softness.  Like the family room, we made conversation areas to accommodate the way our clients envisioned using the space.  Rich wood tones brought warmth to the room and helped to carry this theme throughout the home.  Lamps and wall sconces were placed throughout for plenty of ambient light.  Accessories also played a large part in the design of this home.  Florals and greeneries were placed throughout for softness and color.  Cabinets and tabletops were arranged with care to create balance and the perfect finishing touch.

The master bedroom was a dream to design.  The client craved a simple yet elegant escape where they would always feel relaxed.  We combined masculine woods with feminine fabrics for the perfect balance.  A neutral color scheme with pops of blue also added to the blending of the space.  Textures and patterns with elegant damasks and geometric shapes gave the room a rich eye catching appeal.  Everything was thought through down to the artwork and accessories.  A reading area was placed at the end of the bed for a nice place to catch up on work or a good book.  Morning coffee could also be enjoyed in this space; it was perfect for our clients!

After all was said and done our clients couldn’t have been happier with the end result.  They were able to use their home as they had hoped and knew that the timeless design would last.  They said that if they had any other projects in the future they would for sure give us a call!
